Our sustainably-sourced and sparkling fresh herring has a delicate and flaky texture that melts in your mouth-the perfect addition to your everyday pantry essentials. Our lightly smoked herring is high in Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and Vitamin D, low in carbohydrates, and loaded with rich antioxidants. We source out the same quality Nova Scotia herring from the cold, clean waters off the east coast of Nova Scotia as my great-grandmother did over a century ago.

How To Serve: 

Easy appetizer—seacuterie board:

Drain the flavourful brine from the tin and then place the opened tin on a charcuterie or "seacuterie" board accompanied by thick cut potato chips or crackers, a spicy mayo or our lemon horseradish cream sauce. Add minced red onion and a squeeze of fresh lemon for an easy seafood appetizer that's sure to impress.

Quick Meal—smoked herring & avocado toast:

Requiring less than ten ingredients and minimal effort, try our smoked herring and avocado toast for a quick lunch. Together with a drained tin of Mary Manette’s Smoked Herring, mix together chopped scallions, shallots and endive. Fold-in mashed avocado and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Serve on hot buttered toast for a tasty lunch or on greens for a low carb, high protein meal.
